NFL will play record nine games abroad, including Paris and Melbourne debuts | NFL

The NFL revealed the matchups for all nine international games on Wednesday, with the Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers each playing two contests.

The league’s most ambitious global schedule to date spans seven countries and four continents, including its Australia debut (Week 1 in Melbourne) and its first game in France (Week 7 in Paris).

The Niners will face the Los Angeles Rams, their NFC West rivals, on 10 September at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the first game in a multi-year deal announced last year.

The action moves to Brazil in Week 3 with the Baltimore Ravens facing the Dallas Cowboys on 27 September at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.

The London schedule begins in Week 4 with the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Commanders squaring off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 4 October. The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Jaguars at the same venue in Week 5 on 11 October.

The Jaguars will play consecutive home games abroad, with a Week 6 AFC South clash with the Houston Texans set for London’s Wembley Stadium on 18 October.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the New Orleans Saints on 25 October at Stade de France in the NFL’s first trip to Paris. The league’s second visit to Spain takes place in Week 9 with the Cincinnati Bengals battling the Atlanta Falcons on 8 November at Madrid’s Bernabéu.

Next up is Germany, where the New England Patriots meet the Detroit Lions in Week 10 on 15 November at Allianz Arena in Munich. The final international offering features the Minnesota Vikings and 49ers at Mexico City’s Estadio Banorte in Week 11 on 22 November.

The league will release the full regular-season schedule on Thursday.
