Prime Minister Calls for Everyone’s Cooperation in Nation-Building

Prime Minister Tareque Rahman has called upon the countrymen to cooperate with and assist those who contribute directly and indirectly to nation-building.

He made this call on Saturday (May 30) while speaking at a food and clothing distribution program organized for the destitute, marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of BNP founder and former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman.

The Prime Minister stated that to pay true tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, merely observing formal programs is not enough; rather, one must stand by those who work for the welfare of society and the state.

At one point in his speech, the Prime Minister informed the assembled party leaders and activists that since the event was being held by the roadside, it was causing some inconvenience to public movement, and therefore, he was keeping his speech brief.

However, indicating that he would soon hold detailed discussions with party leaders and activists regarding party organizational activities, he said, “Insha’Allah (God willing), I will meet with organizational leaders and workers very soon. On that day, we will discuss how to further strengthen the organization and implement future plans.”
